Battle Hymn - 1862 - Barbara Brackman

Hooray!  Finished..........  We used calico for the sashing which really makes the fabric stand out.  Buttoned instead of quilted, with vintage style buttons, and bound in calico.  The fabric is Barbara Brackman's Battle Hymn 1862, for Moda Fabrics, and due to arrive next month.  We managed to get hold of some samples, enough to make up this quilt.

  2. A beautiful quilt! The fabrics are very nice and the finish very interesting. Besides the buttons in the sashing, is there anything else keeping it together?

  3. The quilt is smaller than it looks! Only about 45 inches square. The buttons are only around 4 - 5 inches apart on a cotton wadding so enough to hold it together in the style of a 'utility' quilt
